The Hiprocom Enneagram matrix is based on the original Enneagram system created in AD375.

This system was designed as a diagnostic matrix to evaluate 3 key dynamics.

1. Identify the warning signs that you are dissolving. People can be unaware they are in regression and will often make poor or catastrophic decisions while in this phase.

2. Identify signs that you are revolving. While in this phase you are able to make good decisions however you are at the mercy of negative and positive ebbs and flows.

3. Identify your evolution. Positive strategies that will allow you to take control of your life and move forward to achieve your maximum potential. When you are in positive flow creating success is easy.

Where does the Hiprocom Enneagram come from?

All the way back in AD 375 a Greek Philosopher called Evagrius proposed 'the 8 evil thoughts' – on which Pope Gregory the Great based his seven deadly sins.

If we think of evil as merely being the opposite of all those good and true balanced productive thoughts we usually have, rather than the workings of some demonic force, this all begins to make sense. Though these 'evil thoughts' became corrupted and interpreted as 'sins' they were really warnings to us all about the slippery slope we tend to slide down when we are at our most threatened, most stressed, most vulnerable.  We all have own own particular slippery slope to 'disintegration' as it is called in modern Enneagram, based upon our particular personality type.

Whilst there are numerous computer generated personality testing systems available for free via the internet, based loosely upon this Enneagram, I guarantee there is no one better to categorise you than someone that has lived with you for at least twenty years!

Yes, people are notoriously bad at 'typing' themselves and in our experience, invariable get it completely wrong and spend years trying to slot themselves into some sort of favoured design, resulting in this valuable ancient tool being discarded as some quiz you might find at the back of a cheap magazine.  Yet this powerful mystical puzzle could possibly be the key to understanding ourselves and learning to live more harmoniously with everyone we encounter.

Evagrius's research was a system of categorising various forms of temptation. This comprehensive list of 8 evil thoughts (λογισμοι) were also known as the 8 terrible temptations, that form the basis of all our woes and are as true today as they were then.  Human personality clashes do not really differ at the fundamental level and whether those clashes are about which ipad is best or whether the local thief should be stoned publicly is irrelevant.

The true purpose of this list was to serve a diagnostic purpose: identifying the process of temptation, your own strengths and weaknesses, and most importantly, the remedies available for overcoming temptation.

The eight categories are gluttony, greed, sloth, sorrow, lust, anger, vain glory and pride.

The name Enneagram is derived from the Greek words ἐννέα [ennéa, meaning "nine"] and γράμμα [grámma, meaning something "written" or "drawn".  It is a model of the psyche which is principally understood and taught in both business management trainings and in more spiritual contexts through seminars, conferences, books, magazines, and DVDs.

From insights into workplace dynamics, to attaining higher states of consciousness, it is a powerful method for self-understanding and self-development and all our relationships of work, rest and play.
